Congratulations,AE and Mrs. AE!!

Many congratulations. May your tribe prosper!

Sebastian Kurz of Austria needs to see what you see. He has been making some strong moves toward protecting Austria. But one of the best things he could do would be to be an example to the Austrian people.

He's got a girl, she seems ready, what is he waiting for?

Kurz is supposedly a devout Catholic. That used to mean no living in sin. The devout Catholics *I* know don't even practice contraception.

Keep up the good work! Your demographics are excellent!
Inspirational, really.
Hearty Congratulations to you and the Mrs.

Thank you very much. Mrs. AE is doing great. This one came fast.

Dan,

Agree. Why not? He can afford to make the single-earner household thing work, so do it Mr. Kurz!

Awesome! One of these days it will be safe to show us the pride on your face.

It is really strange how much of the European leadership is childless. May, Merkel, Macron, Junker (EU president) etc.

It is particularly unusual for these top men to be childless. It would seem like being the leader of a country a fairly alpha achievement. I get that a low-achieving man would have troubles convincing a woman to bear his children, but in a hypergamous world, these men have no excuse.

It's great to see Trump with 9 grandchildren and I would guess several more are likely.

It is no coincidence that the European leader who stands up most bravely for the future, Victor Orban, has five children.

That is the way out of this demographic disaster.

You will not be replaced!

Congratulations! I'm jealous.

"It is no coincidence that the European leader who stands up most bravely for the future, Victor Orban, has five children."

Jarosław Kaczyński, prime minister of Poland, is childless - which can explain somewhat ambiguous stand of Law and Justice on emigration (summarised as "no to muslim, we need more Vietnamese")

Hearty Congratulations, Audacious E.!

Thanks also for the site; it has become a daily visit for me.

AE,

Congratulations!

Szopen,

Is PiS attempting to stick it to Russia by admitting all those Ukrainian workers? The patriotic stance would be to call for the Polish emigrants to other EU countries to return, but are the emigrants likely to vote the liberals back in?

Congratulations Brother...It's a good start;)

Don't forget to plan for your grandkids!

Home ownership is a great windfall for the whole family in the event of economic depression!

Thanks very much, everyone.

Dan,

Yes, it is good when national leaders are aspirational figures for reasons other than the specific power they hold, like being progenitors.

That said, to the extent that there is an arrow of causality, my guess is it probably runs more in the direction of people who don't care about their ancestors tend not to care about their (non-existent) descendants rather than a lack of descendants causing a lack of interest in ancestors. Pat Buchanan and Ann Coulter are both childless but, especially in the case of PJB, he's been right from the beginning. Rumor is that infertility was an issue in his marriage but I have no idea if that's true (and genuinely feel sorry for him if it is).

Lineman,

Shooting for one more to make it four.

Verratti,

Spiritual kin here. I don't do debt. That includes mortgages. The house is owned outright.

Congrats! I’m right behind you (my 3rd child is due in a month). Onward and upward with the next generation of dissidents!

@216

The fact is that Poland has no unemployment problem right now, and the companies are complaining that they can't find competent labourers: than anyone who is not drunk, handicapped or idiot is already hired. Then they complain that they have to (unbelieveable!) to pay decent wages to attract workers, which reduces competetiveness in a global market. Therefore, they want to import new _temporary_ workers from Ukraine, Vietnam and few other chosen countries. That way they can still pay peanuts to workers and reap the profits.

Of course, we all know that "temporary workers" coming to any European country are never temporary. The idea that Ukrainian workers (decent people as they are) one day might want to become citizens, that their children will become the heroes of the teary tv news about dreamers just wanting to live in the promised land, and that they most likely will then vote for to cosmopolitan, globalist progressivist parties never seem to cross the mind of the Law and Justice politicians. For all their rhetoric anti-muslim, anti-refugee and patriotic, they seem to be afraid be to called "nationalist" or "racist" as much as devil is afraid of holy water. After all, all those Vietnamese and Ukrainians will magically become flag-waving, religious, right-wing Polish patriots the minute they get Polish citizenship.

It has nothing to do with Russia and all to do with Polish catastrophic demographic situation.

I think the PiS leaders can be described as naive conservative US politicians from the 60s.

I would want to stress that it's not that Ukrainians (or Vietnamese) are bad people. Quite the contrary. Ukrainians are Slavic, have similar language and appearance, are quite nice (not perfect, but who is) and should be easily assimilable _in small numbers_. Definetely I prefer them than Nigerians or Arabs (and even with Nigerians or Arabs, I would happily accept few dozens of them, as few dozens would have no choice as to assimilate and become Poles). The problem is not Ukrainian immigration per se, but the size of the immigration. Two or three millions Ukies in 40 millions' nation will inevitably become new minority and it frustrates me that supposedly based PiS is blind to this possibility.

Congratulations, AE.

Now leap into a non-converged church and have your beautiful children grow in a place where they're not taught to hate themselves. You might preserve your souls as well as your nation.

"Spiritual kin here. I don't do debt. That includes mortgages. The house is owned outright."

Good. That makes you a harder target as Vox would say.

A baby is a gift from God. Treasure, love, nurture and give thanks.
My only advice? Ignore advice.
Except for one thing. Never, ever disagree on what was done by one parent in front of kids. It is ultimately you against them and you must always support each other, even if mom or dad overreacted a little. The manipulative bastards will be running the house if you can be divided.
Best wished, hope your child is as much joy as my two grown children still are.

Audacious Epigone said...

Thanks again very much for the well wishes.

Anon,

Solid advice. Fortunately we've always been united on showing a united front, from before our first was born. It's SOP.

You're now 0.4 above the average white "extreme conservative" when it comes to TFR.

Bucking trends in all the whi-I mean right ways!

Haha, and we're not done yet!

I'm from a family of 3 and my wife of just 2, so we're trying to do more than just hold the line, we want to gain ground!

Congratulations man! Haven't heard from you in awhile, glad to see you're doing well. Your fecundity is an inspiration.
