Jewish privilege

The following ten graphs come from GSS data. Because the US census doesn't ask about religious affiliation, empirical comparisons of Jews and Gentiles can be hard to come by. Sample sizes vary depending on the number(s) of survey years each question was put to respondents. Results are presented with default scaling from Excel 2003:

This post can serve general interest, but for me it's an intentional auto-response to assertions of "White privilege". Google returns over 500,000 results for the phrase "White privilege" compared to 34,000 for "Jewish privilege".

Jews write a lot about things through Jewish lenses and from Jewish perspective--mostly in the ethnocentric sense but also in the religious one--and from scrolling through those Google results, most of the interest about that Jewish privilege comes from Jewish writers of Jewish publications. Few goys have ever heard those two words together. Not surprisingly, public interest in Jewish privilege is virtually non-existent (yes, the zenith in searches for White privilege came in the month of January, 2017 when Trump was inaugurated. Fittingly, too--never before had anyone had the presidency handed to him on a silver platter, without any work having to be done to get it, like Trump did!):

If the intent is to leverage self-righteous morality as a will to power by throwing around phrases like White privilege, then be prepared to squirm. If whites get it for doing okay, then superwhites--that is, Jews--really must deserve it for doing great. If Ashkenazi Jews want to help make that bed then they can lie in it. If they want to use their outsized resources and abilities to dispense with the victomology moralizing altogether, then they have an ally here.

Very interesting. Essentially, Jews do well because they're smart and mostly play by the rules. I would be curious to see the same study applied to other ethnic groups. For example, is there Mormon privilege? Baptist privilege? Catholic privilege? Chinese privilege? Japanese privilege? German privilege? Irish privilege? Etc., etc., etc. Inquiring minds wan to know.

BTW, those of us alt-right believers in HBD know very well that the whole "privilege" thing is nothing but what comes out of the south end of a north-bound bull. Individuals (not groups) tend to do well if they have a high IQ and follow the rules. Not 100% in every case, of course, but mostly. As someone once said, the race isn't always to the swift, or the struggle to the strong, but generally that's the way you want to bet.

Black Death,

Religiously, I suspect there'd be some noticeable Episcopalian privilege. The other ethnic privileges--given the sketchy reliability of self-reported ethnicity in the GSS--probably wouldn't show much consistency in the way of differences, but it might be worth looking at anyway. Wrt to privilege, thinking in terms of interests instead of principles is something we need to do. But the "privilege" moralizing crap just makes sober thinking impossible.

Well, that's what it's there for!

Rednecks should start going on about white liberal privilege and start using the theory to bash those who are bashing them.

Won't work. White liberals believe rednecks deserve their outcomes because they have agency and made bad choices, but minority groups have no agency in the face of white privilege and are entirely the victims of their circumstances.

“White supremacists have consciously made the decision to focus their recruitment efforts on students and have in some cases openly boasted of efforts to establish a physical presence on campus,” Jonathan Greenblatt, chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, said in a statement. “While there have been recruitment efforts in the past, never have we seen anti-Semites and white supremacists so focused on outreach to students on campus.”

The prog program includes two pillars:

- Blank Slatism (every one will be a commie with the right upbringing)
- Every generation is more liberal than the previous one (ignoring the fact that the Lost Generation and Silent Generation were more hostile to big government than G.I.s)

Joel Kotkin has pointed out that white Millennials actually preferred Trump in the general election. Furthermore, Obama's victories were heavily reliant on Upper Midwestern whites being alienated by the repellent candidates put forth by the GOP. In other words, all generations of whites (including Millennials) have been receptive (at least at some point) to the GOP candidate if they find the candidate to be a palatable populist type. RealClear had a good article showing maps of various elections which showed county victory margin. Upstate NY, Michigan, WI, and MN had few to no counties with sizable GOP victories in the 90's-2012. 2016 was the first election in ages in which the GOP saw noticeable gains in that belt of stolid Slavs and Nordics for whom the primary concern is "can we get back to work again?" The Sun belt shaped ideology of the GOP that intensified in the Reagan era got more toxic as time went on in the far North.

Loudmouth Leftist Boomers (along with their Gen X/Millennial useful idiots) have tried to retcon history to eliminate from "living memory" every last vestige of conservatism ever exhibited by young Boomers and especially young post-Boomers. The only exception to this seems to be homophobia, where some now middle- aged X-ers shamefully admit to being homophobic in the 80's and 90's.

Extolling the "inherent" liberalism of kids is an effective way to program society into making great efforts to even more heavily indoctrinate them. But the reality is that every generation is unique and nothing is set in stone. Young Boomers fought mostly for greater diversity (or at least felt responsible for the "sins" of their fathers) and compassion for outsiders, which elders fully capitulated to by the mid 70's. Young Gen X-ers were largely indifferent to politics because Silents and especially Boomers, by the late 70's, squandered their good fortune on hedonism and careerism. Lefty professors in the 80's complained that Gen X kids couldn't be reached, but they had good reason to keep their distance after Boomers tarnished activism. Which brings us to Millennials, who've gone along with whatever their superiors tell them. It's astonishing how ignorant people are of what distinguishes the present climate from the 60's. In the 60's, Boomers hated and fought authority who sometimes punched back. Now, Leftist Millennial activity is directly flowing from Boomers and X-ers to college kids. The authorities have been strictly ordered to NOT do anything to discourage agitation; after all, powerful elders have been wanting a New Sixties for 40 years, especially because so many aging Boomers voted for Reagan/Bush/Trump. Can't we take another crack at a utopia? Is that too much to ask?

Exit polls showed Trump losing with white voters in the generally very white states of the Pac NW and New England. Is it the inherent liberalism of these regions, or might it have something to do with legions of snotty self-righteous liberal Boomers in these areas refusing to shake hands, so to speak, with whites in the Trumpland that begins in the whiter and less urban areas of the Mid-Atlantic and intensifies as you head West and South? How many Stephen Kings and Bill Gates' are badgering younger whites into hating Trump?

There's a really nasty, haughty streak to some of the whites in New England and the Northwest. This puritan edge was probably dulled a bit by Germans, Nords and maybe even Slavs in the pro Trump Northern regions. Then again, maybe there's just something about being closer to the ocean that makes people dicks. I dunno, how in the hell do you explain the 3 whitest states in America (Vermont, Maine, NH) voting for Clinton? It's got to be sheer snobbery and spite.

It's way out of my wheelhouse so I might be wrong but my conception of Maine is that it's lower on the social status ladder than Vermont or New Hampshire. Vermont is the real outlier for whites. In Maine and New Hampshire, they basically split 50/50 for Trump and Clinton. If Johnson voters had to pick one of the two majors, Trump probably narrowly wins both Maine's and New Hampshire's popular votes.

For all the whining liberals do about 3rd parties, the reality is that in most elections conservatives and moderates are more likely to vote 3rd party because they don't have the same drone mentality as liberals. Liberal ideology promotes hedonism and chaos outside the election booth, but come election season, they're all supposed to get in line behind the Dems. Who are the real authoritarians, again?

I'd wish that non-liberals felt as reluctant about voting 3rd party in 2020 as liberals did in 2004, but you just don't see mainstream or even conservative organs shaming Johnson/McMullin voters for throwing away their votes.

Cold facts: In what states did Johnson's % of votes exceed Hillary's margin of victory?

- New Mexico
- Colorado
- Maine
- New Hampshire
- Minnesota
- Nevada

Wet blanket cucks made close states closer than they had to be and robbed us of a chance at winning 2/3 of the states. And I don't think we should overlook the importance of having a pro-Trump backstop in more states/regions. The good puritans of New England and the Nords of the Upper Midwest would've felt more comfortable voting for Trump if political/social leaders had sent the signal that voting for Trump isn't demonic. Iowa was one of the very few states whose conservative machine had the guts to be behind Trump throughout, and the end result was Trump dominating a state which Obama had once won. But Iowa was the exception to the rule of the northern state tier in which elites made efforts of varying strength and utility to undermine Trump.

I knew from Stephen King that Maine is quite proleish. Too bad he's another dopey Boomer who still thinks it's 1970.

I've become too trained for the blue/red color coding that it's work to scroll through that data table without having to keep reorienting myself. Sad!

Non-Johnson 3rd party votes could've conceivably flipped PA, WI, and MI to Clinton but Johnson was the biggest 3rd party vote getter in all of those so even without the the 3rd party option at all Trump probably wins all of them.

There were jokes and memes about #NeverTrump cuckservatives fighting all the way to 2020, but I suspect the cuck 3rd party noises will be more muted in 2020 than they were in 2016.

"Goys people"?

"Goy" is a noun, you can't say "goys people". But "goyish".

Great post, though, and it should be used in debates.

Fixed, thanks.

It's all non-Jews, not just whites. Rhetorically and polemically useful. I know, I know.

On the millionaire chart. If only 5% of all goyim are millionaires, and Jews 14%, who the hell makes up for the other 81%?
