Magic: The Gathering and Tidus, Auron, Rikku, Wakka, Lulu, Yuna, Kimahri

As a bonus, a fully orchestrated, heartwrenching rendition of To Zanarkand:

I never played that game. Is it any good?

Aesthetically and musically, it's amazing, except for the voice dubbing, which is awkward and slow at some of cut scenes.

The battle system is more traditional than any FF game to date save the very first in the series (an aspect I loved, but MMO fans probably would not).

It's not a cakewalk, but the mainline game is on the easy side. The "Monster Arena" bonus is very challenging, however--without a considerable amount of special preparation outside of simply beating the game, it is impossible.

The story is primarily depressing and the great tragedy involving the two protagonists is emotive for the player. There is a heavy anti-religious undercurrent running throughout.

I reviewed it here, if you're interested in specifics.

No, they're just my fun little brain children. In the past, I'd say they range from decent (Rikku, probably the weakest), to game changer (Yuna), but if you've played M:TG recently, you'll have noticed the power creep. Specifically, powerful creatures simply cost less than they used to. Now, I'd say Yuna is good, Auron, Lulu, and Wakka are playable but mediocre, and Kimahri, Tidus, and Rikku are unplayable (Kimahri has potential, but 7cc is way too high for a red spell in any deck).

i'd disagree with the cc is too much for a red card, most dragons cost 6, and i run dragon tyrant in a deck and it's casting cost is 10 and he's usually out turn 4 with that deck

I've only kept up with standard over the last year. Is this dragon tyrant deck legacy, vintage, or what? There are resurrection decks where I guess no cc is too high, but in standard and extended, anyway, 7cc seems almost unplayable to me (Iona and some of the eldrazi argue otherwise, but they are among the few exceptions).

Fantastic! I just got into Magic, and I've been playing FFX again lately. I'm definitely copying these. My friends want to make a Doctor Who proxy deck. I'll be calling on Miss Youna ahd her guardians. I do wish you had made the Aeons as well, but Yuna's ssummoning ability will be fantastic with some of my other creatures. Bravo.

By the way. I'm downloading the MSE you posted a link for. I'll comment again when I have a set of Aeon cards ready. I'd like your opinions.
